Holaaa...
Holaaaa...I hope this blog is not haunted yet? Lol. I hope everybody is well :D Last CNY break I tried this very easy recipe-Roti Arab with Kuah Minced Beef. Actually, yours truly was inspired when I see Rina's blog about her cooking and baking (www.cintarina.blogspot.com) She makes cooking and baking looks easy! So for a start, I tried one of her recipe...
Roti Arab
Here's the ingredients:-
For the bread (makes approx 7 pieces)
2 cups of flour
1/2 tsp of instant yeast
3 tbsp of coffee mate
2 tbsp of castor sugar
Salt
Water
Oil
For the gravy
(method almost similar to making bolognese sauce)
Garlic
Spring Onion
Minced Beef
Tomato Puree
Fresh Tomatoes
Basil leaves, Oregano Powder
Salt & Pepper
Olive Oil
The photo shown, was my first attempt. Later on, I realized it is better to divide the "uli" then leave it for a while for it to "kembang sikit" then roll it to make it look like "roti canai" then only you deep fry it. It's like roti naan but fried roti naan. Delicious! In fact you can eat it with kuah Sardin or Curry Chicken. Very filling, my family love it! Tau-taulah ada keturunan Arab :)
True to what she said, once you've started, it can be addictive! Who knows, I might be the next Nigella Lawson!!!Lol! Now, if only I have all the tools...maybe I should start making a list of things that I need to kick start this new found passion... Err, any sponsors? :D
Cheers,

Salam Aidilfitri
I was talking to my bff and both of us admitted that this year raya is not the same as before...
we feel that it lacks the ummph. Perhaps because we are just too old already so there goes the excitement! I still remember raya used to be celebrated
with fireworks
(now banned),
baking cookies
(now kuih tunjuk!that is including yours truly),
preparing buras/pulut
(now after raya prayers dad will buy lemang available along the road side of Jalan Teluk Likas),
sending out raya cards
(now we get smses and greetings from fb),
kids can come freely to your house for raya
(I don't see this now, probably kids were too busy with their gadgets!)
and raya is celebrated 30 days!
(now, we have to wait for open house announcement before visiting our friends and family!)
and the list goes on...How I missed those rayas...
How we celebrate raya may change but I am just glad that the gist of raya is still there, that is raya is still the time for us family to be together and celebrate this joyous occasion together. As long as this doesn't change, I am already happy. This year, our family celebrate raya in moderation (wink-wink), the most important thing to me is, I am just happy that both my parents are still here so we can seek blessing and forgiveness. My mum is still fit and healthy (at least she still imagines that she's still in he 20s'! well, that's my mum) so we can still binge out the "soto banjar" that she prepares every year. Alhamdullilah, Praise to Allah S.W.T.
I just hope we are able to be together again for next raya. Insya'Allah with God's willing. Amin. So, dear friends I hope you are having a wonderful raya as well, if not even better :-)

Happy Birthday Rina dear!
Rina & I
Picture taken way back in 1995
Last year, I promised to upload our old photos together but only recently when I was spring-cleaning my store, I found this photo. So, there you have it dear...As you can see from the photo, yours truly was very slim, masa ni baru form 5...photo was taken by a studio photographer, during those days, we were so fanatic with studio photos because we want our photos to be cun-melencup bila letak dalam friends diary or autograph. I wonder if it is still a practice with youngsters knowaday...hmm...
Anyway, today is a special day for a dear friend of mine, Rina...it's her 32nd birthday! Happy birthday dear! I always pray for all the best things in life for you and family :-) Amin.

Today is the birthday of someone dear to me, my bff...Izan. She turns 31 but she ain't growing any older, still the same hot babe I've known since yester years (ops!that's that means we're getting older? wink-wink). We first met when we studied in Universiti Malaya back in 1997 then we when our separate ways. The world must be small, when we met again in 2006 because we work with the same organisation. And guess what? Now, we are colleague, not only working in the same division, in fact we are neighbours! Hahaaa...Work may be stressful at times but knowing that I have a friend next door makes everything easy. The only problem is when we start xoxo, sometimes no full-stop. Yes, time flies when you are having fun. Kadang, entah apa-apa yang di xoxo...Hahaa...
Thank you babe for being there for me. I am glad we've crossed our path for I have found another gem, a friend in you :-)
I hope she gets all the things she wants in life, because I know she deserves it. Amin.

Dugaan Berpuasa
Phew!!!Been awhile, right? Did anyone missed me? Hahaa...
Yesterday, we completed first week of fasting. I was having a very good ramadhan until something bad happened yesterday. This year, I was asked to attend Program Berbuka Puasa. at selected masjid. Initially, we have to attend on our own plus cameraman, then only yesterday I found out that other executive from my division will be attending the program as well.
Since one of the program falls during weekend, I went to see the other executive to ask for his help to cover this weekend's program. In fact, I went to see my big boss and ask her if it's ok for me to be excused this weekend. She said go ahead. So I went to his office and politely asked him to cover me. I came with good intention. Fyi, I did call earlier I told him that I wanted to see him, he said he is busy and will get back to me later, to which he didn't. I could have just text him, which what normaly other colleagues do but no, I should go and see him personally, I thought it's better like this. Boy, I was wrong.
I remembered I asked nicely for his help, then I said something like "If you want to cover all districts I lagi suka". I was merely saying, sekali he said to me "Why are you being sarcastic? You came to my office for my help, you know? You could have asked nicely". I blank sekejap, sarcastic? I think that's a bit too harsh. Kenapa pula dia mo terasa, sedangkan kami rakan sekerja, sejak bila pula ngak boleh bergurau?
So I said to him, since you will be attending and I spoke to our big boss she said one executive is enough that is why I am here..asking you if you can cover for me. Terus he said, look at you, look at how you asked for help. Then he ulang lagi, you can be very sarcastic you know? You could have asked nicely. Masa tu my blood go upstairs sudah. I said, beginilah I teda maksud yang bukan-bukan you pigi semua program, in fact I lagi suka. After all masjid2, memang area lelaki, kami perempuan bukan ada role sangat, sekadar penyeri sahaja. So I said to him, now we go back to our story, can you help me or not. Dia dwell lagi benda-benda lain. Siap masukkan how often do I come to his office as compared to him? Dalam hati I what's that go to do with this? Heran juga, bulan puasa man can be very sensitive; ngak bertempat lagi. Aiseymen.
So I said to him, why are you so sensitive? Then he said, you think you time is more valuable than me is it? I may have recording at 6:29 pm. I never said my time is more precious than you but since you will be attending, then might as well you cover. That's all. Dalam hati, kalau ada recording, then why did you put your name on the list? Hello? For decoration is it?
One thing lead to another. We were exchanging *5!@...**!!!^# that when I think back was whatlah!Benda simple pun mau kasih complicated. In the end, I said to him, lets go back to what I've come for. I'm sorry (See, I said I'm sorry, sedangkan I don't think so I did anything wrong) if you terasa that I was sarcastic, sedangkan teda pun berniat begitu. Now, can you cover me? Terus he said, ok he will cover. Then I said to him, I don't want to fight I don't want to have any friction with you. You won, I said.
Excerpt of our *5!@...**!!!^#
He: Who said, this is about winning?
Me: Well, I said I'm sorry. You won. I can never win with you. You are always right.
He: This is not a match you know.
Me: It is not a match, I know because in this match it's just you.
He: Then you don't understand me, Farrah
Me: Yes, I don't understand you, ..... and you never want to understand the people around you.
I said thank you, I cakap lagi, are we cool? He said ya. Tapi I know dalam hati, hmm...dua-dua pun panas ni. In the end I did get what I wanted, but the process of getting help is gruesome. Had I known it would turn this way, I wouldn't have asked him , but it's a done deal.
Actually, he could just told me he couldn't help me, I understand. Or he could have told me that, dia letak2 jak namanya in the list but he is not planning to attend the program? Just be frank, isn't that too much to ask? Instead, he dwelled and twist and masukkan elemen yang tidak pun berkenaan. Had it been him coming to me (which btw, bukan membangkit, I lost count sudah, I never said no) and asked for my help, I would have said yes and try my best to do it...I would never dwell, or make it seem that I'm God just because my colleague asks for my help. After all, this is teamwork right? We are suppose to cover each other.
There you have it...luahan hatiku...
Besar betul dugaan berpuasa ni, kelmarin I can't tahan already. I snapped. I think my pahala kelmarin pun teda sudah. Well, let's hope today will be a better day. I wonder my mum masak apa yerrr? Yum yum...
Selamat Berpuasa you'll

GSC Policy Sucks!
Hi guys!!!!
I've been wanting to watch "Belukar" ever since...and on top of it, my bff pun cakap best ceritanya. So, this morning we went all the way to 1B because there is only one show for "Belukar" Punyalah laju bawa kereta just to be there on time. Sampai, terus queue to buy ticket imagine our disappointment, they won't start the show because there were just the two of us. Apparently GSC policy was, GSC will only proceed with any show provided at least 3 people bought the show tickets. We waited for a while, manatau ada couple or at least satu orang tapi after few minutes, teda. Check with the GSC girl again, confirmed they cancelled the show. I've never heard such policy. I thought as long as ada audience the show will run. Looks like, we have to go to Growball then. Hopefully, I can watch "Belukar" tomorrow. If not us, sepa lagi yang support our film industry right?
On another note, being a true Sabahan, macam biasa kalau ada benda baru mesti mo sibuk-sibuk tengokkan? Hahaaa....So, I joint the crowd last night to check out new GSC at Suria Sabah. Memang best, aircond sejuk giler, well at least for now. So peeps, bring your shawl with you. We watched the Bounty Hunter" last night. Okaylah...it's something different for Jennifor Aniston. I can't post my review, because I am a huge fan of hers :-) So, I am already biased here. Check out her body, stunning!
Anyway, I personally think this is not one of her best movies. Still, this movie was much better than "When in Rome". Chemistry between Aniston and Butler, showed that they have something going on off screen but the plot and script I think a bit loose. Sayang juga when you get two strong actors on screen together and yet the movie just so-so.

He's back!!!
After much waiting and anticipation finally I get to see him. Nasib baik booking online, kalau tidak jangan harap dapat tengok. In general, love the movie, though I think the previous the first Ironman was better. This time around, I feel that the movie squeeze so many thing s into one movie. This time around I see powerful supporting cast, one that I must mention here is Mickey Rourke, his lakonan betul-betul hidup. No wonderlah he won an academy. Also, I wish Terence Howard would continue with this sequel, he is also such a hottie.Heheeee...
As for the Ironman himself? Robert Downey Jr. took that part well. Ironman is Robert Downey. Jr. Can't imagine anybody else bawa this role. I love his acting and you know what? I find him hot
Okaylah, don't want to elaborate further. Go, go, go watch this movie!
Enjoy your weekend darlings!

Creepy people everywhere
If only the management hire the right people for the right post then working together will be so much easier, right? Then again if everything fall into the right place then the management has nothing to do because they don't have to manage their staff. Hmm...in reality, everyday you just have to deal with creepy, weirdo, psychotic and the list goes on and on...
Guess what?
Apparently nowadays, I see creepy people everywhere and they are quite a number of them. For all you know, they may one day rule the organization. Not a pretty sight but I just have to deal with it.
Dealing with these people are just taxing...I think I better hit the sack now. I need my beauty sleep or else I may look horrible tomorrow :-)
Love yourself first,

When in Rome
We went to watch this movie last weekend. After two rom-com It's Complicated and Date Night, I was hoping this one will be equally good but I was disappointed. Why? No chemistry between two lead actors despite Josh Duhamel is such a hottie! Despite supporting cast are also stand up comedians (correct me if I'm wrong) their presence didn't help the movie much. I was quiet most of the time, no ketawa gila-gila except one scene when they were driving a mini car...yawn.
So peeps, If you do want watch this movie. Post your comment, let me know what you think about this movie, ya? I promise I won't bite...hahaaaaa...
Good nite, sweet dreams

It is Complicated
Yours truly managed to complete the ironing yesterday. Yahuuu! So, as a reward we went to watch It's Complicated yesterday's evening. I love it. I especially love the smoking weeds scene - hehee...kinda remind me of the good ol' days ...I find it hilarious, but mind you only real adult will be able understand or comprehend the message behind the whole movie. I dare to say this sebabnya, masa kami tengok this movie, I think only the three of us laughed our heart out! The other young couples/audience apparently were quiet. So I've concluded they either don't get it or perhaps they were intimated by our roars of laughters. Hahaa...errrr, I chose to believe the former conclusion!
Till my next post, back to work now. Ssssh!

Movie Marathon
Date Movie - 4 stars. Yes! Go watch it!
I took my very first two days leave that was last Friday and today. So, what better way to spend your break than pamper yourself right? Other than being Officer-In-Charge since our maid balik kampung...so for the time being no more being tai-tai until we find new maid. Penat ooooh!
Clash of the Titans - 2 1/2 stars. So so nothing new, still you may watch it on Wed.
Anyway, setelah berhempas pulas kemas rumah dan jadi laundrymart, I said ini tak boleh jadi. Mesti juga go out and pamper myself. So yesterday we spent the whole day and evening B, L and D outside and catch-up with movies. Watched two movies, first Date Movie then follow-up by Clash with the Titans. Kalau ikutkan hati, mau terus tengok It's Complicated...hahaaa...anyway, we decided to watch it next time.
Clash of the Titans - 2 1/2 stars. So so nothing new, still you may watch it on Wed.In between movies, sempat juga i squeeze "me time" so I had body lymphatic massage and foot reflex. The result, heaven! Then dinner lagi makan tomyam seafood dan kerabu mangga wah wah wah! meletup! Kakakakaaa...
Oh! before signing off, if you do watch Date Movie, check out Mark Wahlberg's super-abs! He's sooooo sexy! Gotta go, hari mau hujan, so yours truly kena angkat kain...Perhaps, if I finish ironing, we may get to watch It's Complicated tonight :-)

Deja Vu
A month a go I had a dream that something bad will happen to a close friend of mine. The dream was so surreal, and then I woke up. I realized with was just a bad dream. Then, I had another dream, again about the same friend of mine. I told my hubby about my dreams, he said to me maybe I have a strong feeling about it that's why I dreamed about it. I didn't tell anybody else about my dream except my hubby and parents.
Time flies. I tried not to be too analytical about my dreams (well, that's what my hubby told me. Katanya I over-analyze stuff). I forgot about it. I prayed to God that, it's just a dream. Kata orang mainan tidur.
Anyway, this close friend of mine called me today. He told me that they've decided. They conveyed to him their decision. It's bad news. The moment I heard this, I was stunned for a while. I never expected it to end this way. I always believe "every cloud has a silver lining". Then it hit me, those dreams were signs. It's deja vu.
I didn't tell him about my dream. I know it will only upset him more. As a friend, I pray for whatever best for him. Perhaps, this bad news could be a blessing in disguise for him. We never know. I bet something good will come out of it. Insya'Allah, with God's willing.
